Jordan Park, located at the corner of Francis Avenue and Jackson Road, is an active park with 1.5 acres of wooded park. Jordan Park consists of a large playground area, trees, covered picnic pavilions, grill, a basketball court, outdoor restrooms, and a community center.
The Jordan Park Community Center is 2,000 square feet of space - housing both Beaches Habitat and the community center. Normal hours of operation are noon to 6 p.m. The Community Center is available for rent with a 4-hour minimum of $100, plus a $200 refundable security deposit.
Jordan Park provides sports programs geared toward basketball, kickball and softball. The center also provides after-school homework assistance, computers, tutoring and a summer camp for children.
Jordan Park is also home to the City’s annual Egg Hunt held on the Saturday before Easter, the summer Basketball Tournament, and various community events. Monthly "Open Mic" programs invite the community to sing, dance, rap, or perform poetry.
