Dutton Island Preserve

The City’s largest park is at 793 Dutton Island Road W., at the end of Dutton Island Drive, west of Mayport Road. Dutton Island Preserve consists of 9,000 feet of nature trails, a fishing and viewing pier, a canoe/kayak launch, picnic areas, pavilions, camping areas, and parking. A wheelchair is available to reserve at no cost.

Please note the King Tide Chart for an accurate prediction of water levels. High tide could result in the roadways and some campsites being underwater.

The following dates are estimated King Tide occurrences. The dates are subject to change and may result in the closing of Dutton Island:

September 27 - October 1

October 9 - October 12

October 24 - November 1

November 23 - November 28

To reserve a campsite, submit a permit application online to be reviewed and approved. Click HERE for permits. Must be 21 years or older for a camping permit (ID required).
